French influence on gastronomy continued as the main feature on the second day of San Sebastian Gastronomika – Euskadi Basque Country, which also featured Jesús Sánchez, Pedro Subijana, Jordi Butrón and Frédéric Bau. Tomorrow Gastronomika closes its 23rd congress with Joan Roca and Virgilio Martínez, among others.

Alain Ducasse: “European cuisines have to learn to cook together”

San Sebastián Gastronomika commences its 23rd edition paying tribute to Alain Ducasse. The legend, who seized the opportunity to provide the details of the restaurant he has just opened in Paris with Alber Adrià, has spoken in favour of a gastronomic union between France and Spain: “In the past they wanted to confront each other, but that has become obsolete”.

San Sebastian and the Kursaal welcome the grand catering family once again

San Sebastian Gastronomika-Euskadi Basque Country, the world's oldest gastronomy congress, will be back from 15 to 17 November at the Kursaal in a format adapting to the new situation generated by the Covid-19 health crisis. The 23rd congress will focus on France, and usher in a new dialogue between French and Spanish cuisine.
