Not only is apple tart a gastronomic fact in its various formats, textures and flavours, but it is also a genuine cultural symbol that is common to many, many countries. It is, in fact, one of the most emblematic global desserts, and also an example of different culinary traditions around the world.  

For these reasons, and also to showcase apples at Gastronomika as one of the healthiest fruits, and therefore an up-and-coming trend in cookery, we are presenting this new culinary challenge: the 1st Spanish Apple Tart by Asturias Championship.
